Our company will supply ten shaft generators for a new bulk carrier, each with a rated power of 1.3 MW, designed to cover the vessel’s auxiliary energy requirements through PTI/PTO functionality.
These shaft generators will enable efficient power management by allowing the system to operate in both Power Take-In (PTI) and Power Take-Off (PTO) modes, optimizing fuel consumption and enhancing overall operational flexibility. In PTO mode, the system will generate electrical power from the main engine, supplying the ship’s auxiliary loads. In PTI mode, it will provide additional propulsion support when required, improving performance and maneuverability under demanding sailing conditions.
