We are pleased to announce the supply of one vertical synchronous machine rated at 9,990 kVA for the Onarheim Hydropower Plant in Norway.
The project is a small hydropower development located in the municipality of Kvinnherad, in the county of Vestland. The plant is expected to generate approximately 27 GWh per year, contributing renewable electricity to the Norwegian grid and supporting local energy production in a country where hydropower represents the backbone of the electricity system.
Norway’s electricity generation is predominantly based on hydropower, making projects such as Onarheim an important part of maintaining and expanding sustainable generation capacity. The supplied vertical machine will support reliable operation, high efficiency, and long-term performance of the facility.
This delivery further strengthens our presence in the Nordic hydropower market, where we are approaching our 50th reference in the country, and where we are delighted to contribute with our rotating equipment solutions.
