New Hydropower Project in Azerbaijan: Supply of Two 5 MW Synchronous Generators

Share:

We announce a new hydroelectric project in Azerbaijan for the supply of two 4880 kVA synchronous generators to a power plant located in the Kalbajar district.

The facility is expected to meet the region’s electricity demand over the next five years, generating up to 66 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy annually. The integration of the two generators will ensure reliable and efficient power production, strengthening the stability and performance of the local energy infrastructure.

In addition to enhancing energy security, the project delivers significant environmental benefits. The plant is projected to save approximately 15 million cubic meters of natural gas per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 27,000 tons, contributing to the reduction of the country’s carbon footprint and supporting the transition toward cleaner energy sources.

This development aligns with Azerbaijan’s green energy strategy and supports the expansion of sustainable power generation capacity in the region.
